ETESTWARE EASTER EGGS
As part of theICEway ecosystem of companies, the team at eTestware often get to work closely with the team at CRIBB Cyber Security. This week they published a blog piece about some of their favourite IT-related Easter Eggs. We decided that we wanted in on the action too! So, here is a list of some of our favourites, with zero apologies for the fact that one of them was also in the CRIBB selection!
Bing Easter Egg (our favourite!)
Simply enter “Snake Game” into the Bing search box and reclaim all those hours of fun from the noughties…
Facebook Messenger App Easter Egg (iOS and Android, our second favourite!!)
Play basketball by sending a basketball emoji to a chat window. Then press on it once sent. A basketball net will appear and you can start taking shots!
Microsoft Word Easter Egg
Open a new word document, type in =rand(200,99) and then press enter. Try typing after "=rand" any variation from (1,1) to (200,99) to see different results).
Kindle Keyboard Easter Egg
If you have one of these, you can play Minesweeper or GoMoKu instead of reading. Simply press Home, then hold down Alt, Shift, M.
IMDB.com Easter Egg
Find the page for the movie, ‘This Is Spinal Tap’, and take a look at the rating.
NB: If you are not familiar with the movie, you will probably not get a great deal out of this one!
Do you think our choices here should have included something else? Then feel free to let us know what and we may publish it in a future follow-up piece. (If it is good enough, it might happen before next Easter arrives!)
The teams at eTestware, CRIBB Cyber Security and ICE Technology Services are all part of theICEway ecosystem of companies. We are remote working and practicing social distancing to try and stay safe. We hope that you are doing the very same because ultimately we are all in this together. Together we will get through!
