Software testing in 2022 (an eTestware yearly review)
Happy New Year everybody, and all the best from our team! Here we take a look back at software testing in 2022 for eTestware. It was a busy year and one we take a good deal of pride in. Our people delivered for us once more and we were lucky to sit with 2 of them for Q&A sessions. The entire team at theICEway had double cause for celebration as we turned 8 years old and ICE reached 15. Many of them managed to assemble in Hertfordshire for a fantastic Summer party, which will live long in this memory at least. We received some excellent client feedback in 2022 also, with a case study from CREUNA a particular highlight. We definitely tried to vary our content throughout the year and seemed to produce a hit with a piece on NASA.
Bertie, Margery and the team at theICEway
In March 2022 we published extracts from a Q&A session with eTestware General Manager Bertie Trevis. Bertie had actually joined ICE 11 years earlier as part of their technology consultancy service. In time he found himself becoming integral to our software testing efforts, however, taking additional responsibilities on board. He was vital in the growth of eTestware following its arrival within our IT ecosystem in 2014. In our session together, we spoke about his quickly-formed appreciation for Quality Assurance (QA) plus his pride in eTestware reaching 8. We also touched upon the need for testing adoption to be augmented: “We have had a great 8 years and now is the perfect time for myself and the team to raise awareness of the importance software testing has.”

A return to events and birthdays for eTestware and ICE
Last year also gave us the opportunity to sit with our clients and contacts for the first time in a good while, too. Events such as Seatrade Cruise Global 2022 allowed the cruise community to gather together after almost 3 years. We were fortunate to have some of our people in attendance in what was a truly memorable and action-packed few days.

2022 was something of a milestone year for both eTestware and ICE, as we turned 8 and ICE became 15. That’s right, our software testing brand from Estonia is nearly as old as Prince George! ICE meanwhile is almost double our age and holding up well considering many of the original people are still there. Joking aside, ICE Support Ltd. was founded in 2007 and has not only stood the test of time, but it has also paved the way for… theICEway. Congratulations then to all at the original brand within our ecosystem and here is to the next 15 years!

Another satisfied customer and some interesting reading
In a world packed with NDAs it is fantastic to be able to share a case study or two. And so it was last year with the good people at Creuna, a ‘software testing as a service’ client of ours. Now a part of Knowit, we worked alongside their internal team to implement and complete software testing processes.
Our software testing in 2022 efforts also included a lot of work on creating original content. Here we wanted to share one of 2022’s most popular eTestware blog pieces. The title was a long one: ‘QA Software testing at NASA: When the stakes are high’. The ambition was high for this article, as we wanted to demonstrate just how necessary software testing is. By describing QA efforts in an environment where the stakes are truly high, we felt we accomplished that. If you agree or disagree, then we would love to hear why – on both counts!
Thankfully, software testing in 2022 for eTestware proved to be another fruitful endeavour. It was great to reconnect with our own people and those with whom we had lost touch during the pandemic. Getting out and about once more was also fantastic, and who doesn’t love a birthday celebration or two? Our testing efforts are always carried out with passion and so good feedback is such a welcome and useful thing. We also felt as though we produced some pretty decent articles in 2022 but your feedback is vital in helping us to confirm or deny that.
