The state of testing in 2021
This article published very recently on TechBeacon makes for an interesting read. It draws from the titular panel discussion and reveals three key factors shaping testing right now:
- Tech advances versus concerns over privacy
- Testers: Vocal advocates and critics
- Using testing tools to support efforts – not as a substitute
Whilst our testers are always keen to embrace AI methodology, they don’t do so merely to expedite testing. They also recognise that security is more important than ever before. That then means using AI responsibly, not relying solely upon its output to create algorithms and protecting personal data at all times.
Our software testers also agree with the second point above and frequently extoll the virtues of testing to clients. At the same time, they do their utmost to understand what the end user experience is like at all stages. They use stories to stake their test cases, in the way that reviews allow companies to refine their offering.
At eTestware, we believe that software testing tools should meet our objectives as testers. They should not be used to make the testing process easier, rather they should enhance it overall. Read about right-sourcing with us here.
